Year 5 have really enjoyed looking at Macbeth this week. We have predicted what the book might be about just from looking at the cover. We have also written questions for our friends relating top the first few pages. In addition to this we have written wonderful descriptions of the opening scene, using descriptive and figurative language , such as; the trees stood like ancient stone statues, lightning squirmed across the sky like an electrical current. The thunder roared like a lion attacking its prey, As the lightning struck the sky, a flash of ultra-violet beamed onto the desolate battlefield. …and many other fantastic phrases.
